Following last week's announcement of the Regional coaching and management teams, England Universities Rugby League have announced the dates, times and venues for the trials for their six regional sides.
The regional sides are the first rung on the England Universities ladder, with players selected for the region in which they are studying, with a round of inter-regional games. This year all games take place on Saturday 30th November at the University of Birmingham as follows:
Following the inter-regional games, players are selected for their Origin side, with Midlands, South East and South West aligning to the South and North West, North East and Yorkshire aligning to the North, with the University Origin Match, which takes place at Loughborough University on Saturday 1st February 2020, leading to the final England squad being selected.
All students who wish to trial need to register their interest by clicking HERE and will be contacted by a member of their region's coaching and management team.
"As expected, we've had some great numbers signing for the trials" explained Adam Hughes, RFL Education Manager.
"The regional teams will shortly be getting in touch with players to make arrangements for the trials and we're excited to see what the players have to offer for the national side.
"I'd like to encourage players who want to trial to make sure they are signed so that the regional management teams can get in touch with them so that they have all the details they need."
