Widnes IT Consultants, Flashgun Consulting Ltd, are the final company to add their logo to the England Universities Rugby League playing shirt for the 2019 season, meaning that all kit branding positions are now filled.
Flashgun Consulting will have their logo displayed below the number on the reverse of the shirt and their sponsorship starts with immediate effect ahead of England Universities' game with Halifax Reserves at The Shay Stadium on Thursday 25th April, 7.30pm Kick Off.
"As a keen supporter of grassroots Rugby League, I have over the years supported a number of junior teams," explined Dave Smith, Director of Flashgun Consulting.
"This stepped up a gear during the last world cup when I sponsored Matty Fozzard of Wales. This year it is with great pleasure that I support the England Universities RL team.
"Having watched some of the players from the regional games, through to the NIDO Student Origin game at Loughborough, it is very clear that there is a lot of talent in this team and I wish them all the very best for their coming programme of fixtures."
The England Universities Rugby League programme is self-funded by the partcipating players and the fundraising target for 2019 season is around £22,000 to cover kit, training costs and the team's participation in the RFL President's Cup, the Student RL Four Nations and two friendly fixtures against professional reserve sides.
"We're delighted to welcome Flashgun Consulting Ltd to the England Universities family," said David Butler, Team Manager.
"Every penny in sponsorship that is generated reduces the financial burden on the players taking part and its great that Flashgun Consulting have recognised this and offered their support to the team and are looking forward to working with them throughout the season!"
