Salford Red Devils now have nine players who have been awarded Man of Steel points by the pannelists, Red Devils shocked Catalans Dragons with an emphatic 46-0 victory in Perpignan, as Jake Bibby picked up his first 3 Man of Steel points.
A member of the panel will watch each Betfred Super League game in 2019 and award points to the three outstanding players: 3 points for their chosen stand-out performer, two points for the runner-up, and 1-point for their third ranked player.
The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.
Warrington vs Castleford (Stefan Ratchford)
Stefan Ratchford picked up his second 3-points from a Man of Steel panellist, he’s now tied with Jamie Shaul behind James Roby who holds the number one spot. Ratchford controlled the game from full back, he assisted a try and made 118 metres from 16 carries.
Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos (Marc Sneyd)
Hull FC made it three wins out of three after a barren run of losses, Sneyd picked up his first 3-points of the season after previously being awarded two 1-pointers. Sneyd scored a try, assisted a try and scored five goals at the KCom Stadium.
St Helens vs London Broncos (Theo Fages)
Theo Fages was awarded his first Man of Steel points of the season, he’s had a great start to the season so far. Against London Broncos, he scored a try and assisted two tries as his side remain the only unbeaten team in 2019.
Wigan Warriors vs Huddersfield Giants (Kruise Leeming)
Huddersfield Giants picked up their first win of the season, and Kruise Leeming was pivotal in Giants’ victory. The hooker scored a try for Giants, made 41 tackles and 109 metres as Giants beat the 2018 Champions.
Catalans Dragons vs Salford Red Devils (Jake Bibby)
Salford Red Devils went to Perpignan with the ‘underdog’ title, a chance of winning but no one expected such a one-sided game as Salford beat Catalans 46-0. Jake Bibby put in an impressive performance scoring two tries and assisting two tries.
Wakefield Trinity vs Hull KR (David Fifita)
Wakefield’s David Fifita was on the wrong end of a result, but he picked up his first 3-points, Wakefield have been hit and miss so far this season and Fifita has been one of their most consistent players, he made 20 tackles and 118 metres against KR.
