After months of planning, Aldershot and Fleet Masters walked out in early October for their first ever Masters game, hosting the vastly experienced Medway Dragons.
The Aldershot and Fleet team led out by Stephen Lowriewas helped out by several southern-based Masters.
Aldershot and Fleet played the game in lively and enthusiastic fashion as they faced up to the more experienced Dragons.
The game was played in true Masters spirit
Under the watchful eye of Masters referee and the South Masters Management Board rep, Ed Baldwin, the match was played in great Masters spirit.
At the final whistle there were smiles all round as the players new and old retired to the club house for well earned beers and chilli!
Organiser, Stephen Lowrie, was tired but enthusiastic after the game: "I was so pleased the way it went. The whole team enjoyed their first Masters game."
Many new friendships were formed on the day. Aldershot and Fleet look forward to more Masters and to 2019.
