Club of the Week | Teignbridge Trojans

History made in Devon!

This week's rugby-league.com Club of the Week is Teignbridge Trojans, as they made a winning start to life as a Rugby League club.

The Trojans, based in Newton Abbot, South Devon, were founded in August last year, and have spent the off season recruiting players and organising a host a friendly fixtures for the summer ahead.

Speaking back in September, founder Barry Whittle said: "We want to bring Rugby League to as many new people as possible."

15 players made their Rugby League debuts in the match on Saturday, and it was a perfect start to their Rugby League journey as the Trojans won 50-42 against Exeter Centurions in an entertaining match, their first-ever 13-a-side tie, in front of a healthy crowd.

Teignbridge Trojans are now recruiting
