After successfully launching its first league in Wigan three years ago, Try Tag Rugby Wigan will be launching another league in the Rugby League stronghold of Leigh.
Try Tag Rugby, a partner of the Rugby Football League, is one of the leading social sports organisations providing high-quality Tag Rugby Leagues and events across the UK including: Bristol, Coventry & Warwickshire, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Sheffield, Thames Valley, West Yorkshire and Wigan.
Tag Rugby League is a fun and exciting non-contact social sport suitable for all adults; no previous rugby experience is necessary; it's a sport that can be enjoyed by beginners and experienced players alike.
Tag Rugby is a great way to meet new people, as well as a chance to meet up with existing friends. There will be weekly post-match socials, where players come together to enjoy a drink with their teammates and opposition.
The 8-week mixed Early Summer League will kick-off in Leigh on Tuesday 26th April at St Mary's Catholic High School.
For those wanting to give it a try before signing up for the league, Try Tag Rugby will be holding Free Taster Sessions at St Mary's Catholic High School in Leigh on Tuesday 5th, 12th and 19th of April and also on the grass pitches at St Peter's Catholic High School, Orrell, Wigan on Monday 4th April and Monday 11th April, all starting at 6.30pm.
Try Tag Rugby Wigan Licence Manager Dylan Barlow said: "We're delighted to be launching in Leigh in 2022. Leigh is home to Leigh Centurions and is a hotbed of Rugby League.
"For those with an interest in Rugby League, Try Tag Rugby's close similarities to Rugby League make it a very attractive game to play. Importantly though the mixed minimal contact nature of the sport, combined with the social and fitness elements also make it attractive to people from outside the game. It is just a fantastic way to keep fit, have fun and meet people."

Refereeing
Try Tag Rugby are also looking to recruit referees in the area. Refereeing Tag Rugby League is lots of fun and can be a great way to earn some extra money.
