St Helens will host Leigh Centurions on Friday 21 January 2022 at the Totally Wicked Stadium in England international Alex Walmsley’s Testimonial fixture.
Walsmley – who signed a contract extension until the end of the 2024 season earlier this year – has been awarded a Testimonial year after racking up over 224 appearances for the Saints.
On the fixture, Walmsley said: “I am delighted to now announce my Testimonial fixture against Leigh Centurions. I can’t wait and hopefully all our fans can get down and support the team and I.
“This will be the first time the fans will catch a glimpse of our new signings in action in 2022 and after Leigh’s performance against us in pre-season last year, we know it will be a tough game and one which will put us in a good position for the start of the season.”
The reigning Betfred Super League champions faced Leigh Centurions in Tommy Makinson’s Testimonial fixture prior to the 2021 season.
