Leeds Rhinos claimed a competitive win away at Wigan Warriors for the first time since September 2013 as they ran out 14-0 winners on Wednesday night.
Tries either side of half time from Brad Dwyer and Richie Myler, plus three Rhyse Martin goals, sealed a memorable night for the visitors.
The Rhinos now sit fifth in the table with Wigan clinging to their spot in the top four after failing to score a try for the second-successive match and fifth half of rugby in a row.
The fixture also marked the first time in Super League history that Wigan had failed to register a single point in a home game.
In front of a 11,390-strong crowd, defence was well on top in the opening exchanges before Wigan enjoyed some spells of good territory.
But Leeds repelled what was thrown in their direction and overcame playing 20 minutes of the first half with 12 men thanks to the sin-binnings of Zane Tetevano and Luke Briscoe, even defending a set on their own line with 11 men as Briscoe left the field with Tetevano waiting return.
And the 12-man Rhinos got their reward as the minutes ticked down to half time, Dwyer reacting first to a clever Kruise Leeming kick to touch down. Martin's goal made it 6-0 at the break.
And Leeds got their second just after the restart, this time in-form full-back Richie Myler diving over after a fine Martin break, to the delight of the visiting fans.
Martin goaled for 12-0 and Wigan's task was looking ever-more difficult going into the final half hour.
Martin then added a penalty goal to put his side 14-0 up with 56 minutes played.
Though Wigan enjoyed the majority of possession in the final quarter, handling errors regularly scuppered their changes, while Jake Bibby came closest but was correctly adjudged to have been held up over the line and Wigan slipped to defeat.
Wigan will be looking to snap their poor run of form as they face Castleford away from home on Bank Holiday Monday, while Leeds' search for a top four finish continues with a visit to Wakefield Trinity.
