The Rugby Football League are seeking expressions of interest from Southern-based community Rugby League clubs who would be interested in joining a Tier Four 'Southern Premier League' for 2019.
This competition would aim to provide playing opportunities that pit the best clubs from the southern regional leagues against each other on a weekly basis.
It would provide a more intense and a longer playing season for those players who wish to play at a higher level.
Depending on the number of applications from clubs, then a split East and West would once again be considered to reduce the travel distances involved.
As such, clubs are invited to express an interest in joining this new competition for 2019 by email to david.raybould@rfl.uk.com, by Monday, October 15.
Following this date then a more formal application will be required where clubs will need to demonstrate how they can meet minimum standards.
