The 19-year-old brother of Castleford’s former Huddersfield centre Joe Wardle spent two years on the sidelines with knee and ankle injuries before finally making his Betfred Super League debut last month.
“I’m glad I’ve got another two years contracted with the club,” Wardle said.
“I felt I owed them a bit for keeping me through all my injuries as they could have easily let me go having had two years out injured.

“Now I want to be able to get into the first team as much as I can and hopefully cement my own place in the team.”
Wardle scored two tries on his debut in the Giants’ 28-18 win over Widnes but was subsequently banned for three matches for a dangerous tackle in that game.
