For the second year running, Woolston Rovers Rugby League Club will be collecting Easter Eggs over the next two weeks from members of all of their Junior, Youth and Open Age teams and they will then be donated to the Warrington and Halton Children's Ward for distribution to children who will unfortunately be spending Easter in hospital.
Rovers PRO Dave Whalley said: "We pride ourselves on being a caring club and we had a great response last year when over 100 Easter Eggs were donated by our members; we know how lucky we are to have over 300 players turning out in the Green & Gold each week but for some youngsters that is not possible as they have to spend long periods of time in hospital.
"We have decided once again that as a Community Rugby League Club if we can get our members and their families to donate an Easter Egg then we can then go and deliver them to the ward in time for Easter Day and hopefully bring a smile to the faces of the children in there."
A spokesperson for Warrington and Halton Hospital said: "Thank you so much for this wonderful gesture and for thinking about us.
"Our children's departments would really appreciate your very kind offer; once again thank you for thinking about the WHH Charity.”
If you would like to donate an Easter Egg then please bring it down to our Pitchside Pitstop on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning at The Sadore Construction Field, Monks Sports Club, Hillock Lane, Woolston, Warrington, WA1 4NF.
