Currie missed the first five months of the Betfred Super League 2017 season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament against Wigan the previous September.
He made his comeback just in time to earn a place in England’s squad for the 2017 World Cup and went on to play in all six matches including the final.

"The recent scan has shown @BenoCurrie aggravated an old knee injury in Friday night’s win over Wigan. It’s nothing too serious, it’s a matter of getting the swelling down followed by rehab. It’s hoped he’ll be back within next 4 weeks" pic.twitter.com/7Y1tE4OrWj
Wolves fans might have feared the worst when he went off 17 minutes into Friday’s 16-10 victory over the Warriors after taking a knock to the same knee but coach Steve Price said he was not unduly concerned and his medical staff have confirmed the good news.
A spokesman for Warrington’s performance team said: “The recent scan has shown that Ben Currie aggravated an old knee injury.
My journey in rugby league started @Parkside_SCC when I was 7! I'll always be thankful to the club and the coaches that helped me along the way to where I am now!! #GrassrootsRL @SMTMUK pic.twitter.com/ZwmNyMBJUB
