
Kieran Gill’s 79th minute try handed Oldham a dramatic 26-22 win over Bradford Bulls, as they climbed to ninth in the Kingstone Press Championship table.
The clash at Bower Fold was a real to-and-fro tussle: Oldham opened the scoring through Adam Neal early on but Bulls hit back with tries from the experienced Lee Smith and James Bentley putting the Bulls 8-6 in a frantic first ten minutes.
Ethan Ryan latched onto Joe Keyes’ chip to put Bradford further ahead at 14-6 but they were quickly pegged back as Danny Langtree’s 39th minute try saw Oldham trail by just 14-12 at half time.
Keyes’ effort on 63 minutes put Bradford back in control at 20-12 up but Tuoyo Egodo’s converted effort, followed by Scott Leatherbarrow set the game up for an exciting conclusion at 20-20.

Jordan Lilley nudged the visitors back in front with a successful kick on 69 minutes but on-loan Castleford Tigers duo Egodo and Gill linked up to score an impressive long-distance winner for Oldham, to clinch the win.
Delighted Oldham coach Scott Naylor said: “It was a fantastic response from the boys after what happened at Batley and it’s a proud day for our club, sitting on an achievement like beating a club that’s as big as Bradford Bulls.
“It was an outstanding performance by the players, from 1 to 17. It was similar to how we played against Featherstone and London Broncos and it showed us that when we play at that level we are good as anybody.”

Hull Kingston Rovers continued their faultless start to the campaign, with an eighth win on the bounce, as they beat Batley Bulldogs 50-16.
Ryan Shaw and Liam Slater both scored braces for Tim Sheens’ side, with Kieren Moss, Andrew Heffernan, Thomas Minns, Chris Clarkson and James Donaldson also getting on the scoresheet for Rovers.
James Brown, Wayne Reittie and Dane Manning scored for Matt Diskin’s Batley, who fell to sixth after the defeat.

Winger Tony Maurel scored four tries for the French side, with Anthony Marion, Paul Marcon, Kalausa, Bastien Ader (2) and Gavin Marguerite all scoring in the ten-try win.
Ben Moores, Gary Middlehurst and Rob Massam were on the scoresheet for Rochdale.

Featherstone Rovers remain third after recording a 38-6 win over Dewsbury Rams, who are still without a league win in 2017.
Jack Teanby gave the Rams early hope with a fifth minute try but it all went downhill from there on in, with Luke Briscoe (2), Ian Hardman, Matty Wilde and Cory Aston all scoring for Featherstone.
Halifax move up to sixth after a 38-28 win over Swinton Lions. Steve Tyrer, Adam Tangata, James Saltonstall, Elliot Morris, Shane Grady and Jacob Fairbank scoring for Richard Marshall’s side.
