Match Preview

Widnes half-back Joe Mellor is set to make his first start of the season after recovering from a knee injury and centre Chris Dean is poised to make his comeback as the Vikings' injury crisis begins to ease.

Warrington have lost second rower Ben Westwood to suspension and, with Mike Cooper still sidelined with an ankle injury, coach Tony Smith brings in Benjamin Jullien and Andre Savelio. Dec Patton continues to deputise for injured former Widnes captain Kevin Brown.
