NGB Award, Level 2 Coaching Course in Wheelchair Rugby League

Once you have successfully completed your qualification, completed a DBS and signed a code of conduct you will be licensed to coach for a period of 3 years. The license will only be revalidated after that period if you are able to evidence Continual Professional Development (CPD)

The responsibility for remaining fully and appropriately licensed rests with you, the coach. Failure to meet the conditions of the licence will mean that you will no longer be able to coach

What will I learn?

Coaching principles and ethics in wheelchair rugby league, how to plan, deliver & review coaching sessions.

Minimum age 18

Cost - £85

Duration – 2 days

  • Day 1 (3 hour) Safeguarding & Protecting Children course
  • Day 2 (8 hour) Classroom tuition & group work, Introduction to wheelchair use, Practical coaching sessions.

What do I need to do to pass the course?

Attend all of the course hours.

Successfully complete the practical coaching sessions on the course which will involve planning, delivery and review of your coaching sessions.
