The RFL offer a number of high-quality student placement opportunities.

The aim of each placement is the development of each individual, looking to improve their employability post-study and also the production of promotion content for the University Rugby League programme.

Essentially placements will be reporting on University RL BUCS leagues and fixtures, compiling a weekly roundup of action. In addition, there will be opportunities to write features for both internal and external use and attend national events such as the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

The programme has now been running for a four years and participants have not only found that it enhances their writing skills, but the experience of working for the RFL has been enjoyable and useful in securing employment.

You don't need to have a great knowledge of Rugby League, but you do need to be resourceful, passionate and able to hit deadlines.

With a dedicated RFL mentor our volunteers gain valuable experience working within a National Governing Body and the opportunity to liaise with influential networks within Media.

For more information on these placements please contact Stephen Guan on stephen.guan@rfl.uk.com.
