Stanley Rangers under 13s travelled to Bradford Dudley Hill in a hard-fought encounter, Bradford taking the spoils 22-16.
A battling start from both teams set up a good arm wrestle in the first 15 minutes, neither team willing to give away field position, Bradford using there interchange well and the tiring 13 Stanley players couldn't stop Bradford taking the lead just before have time, running in two tries and converting one of them for a 10-0 lead.
But, just before half time, Stanley's hopes where raised with a planned move from the scrum saw Kian Rowley get space and power over then unfortunately hit the post with his conversion.
That left it 10-4 at half time.
Bradford started the second half strongly, only some strong Stanley defence lead by Hampshire Hopkinson, Miller and Joseph Hudson keeping Bradford at bay, again Stanley tired and Bradford scored two quick converted tries put the home side in a commanding position.
Stanley showed great heart to start a fight back great forwards laid a platform for the Stanley half backs Rogerson and Clay Harnetty to get a foothold in the match, getting Kian Rowley away for another unconverted try.
Then, with only 4 minutes left on the clock, Stanley struck again with some fantastic quick hands got Harnetty in for a great try again the conversion was missed.
Stanley players had hope with the score at 22-12 and straight from the kick off a solid drive from Hudson and quick play of the ball gave the Stanley backs the chance to launch a attack, again some smooth skills got Kian Rowley in for his hat trick try, unfortunately missing the conversion.
With two minutes to go, Stanley had a chance.
However, from the kick off, Bradford held firm, causing a Stanley knock on which ended a great game of Rugby League.
Man of the mMatch went to Joe Hampshire for a fantastic game, just pipping Joseph Hudson for the award.
