Broncos still in the hunt for Million Pound Game

London Broncos 36-14 Halifax

London Broncos remain in contention for the Million Pound Game after easing past bottom side Halifax 36-14 in the Qualifiers Super 8s.

The Broncos had taken only one point from their first four matches but are now putting pressure on Leigh Centurions.

Steve Tyrer's early try gave winless Halifax the perfect start at Trailfinders Sports Ground but William Barthau, Alex Walker and Andy Ackers all went over to put London in control.

Tries from Rhys Williams, Kieran Dixon and Elliot Kear ended Fax's hopes of a comeback after they crossed through Mitch Cahalane before the break and meant Rob Worrincy's late effort was no more than a consolation.

The win takes London to within a point of Leigh, who along with Catalans Dragons occupy the Million Pound Game spots.
