Warrington Wolves have confirmed the signing of Robbie Mulhern from Hull Kingston Rovers on a two-year deal.
Mulhern represented England back in 2018 coming off the interchange bench against France at the Leigh Sports Village. The forward has also featured for England Knights twice, including in last year’s victory over Jamaica at the Emerald Headingley Stadium.
After joining from Leeds Rhinos in 2016, Mulhern has racked up over 100 appearances for the club and helped the side earn promotion back to the Betfred Super League in 2017.
On the move, Mulhern said: “Warrington is a massive club and I’m really happy and privileged to be able to join. I’m really looking forward to meeting all the lads and getting started.
“I feel like I’m coming into my prime years now and I’ve got a lot to offer. Chris Hill and Mike Cooper are two of the best forwards in the game so to spend time around them and learn from them is going to be great for my continued development.
“The Halliwell Jones Stadium is probably one of the best stadiums in the country for Rugby League so to play here every other week is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to get started.”
Warrington Head Coach, Steve Price, added: “I’m excited to welcome Robbie to the club and for him to strengthen and add depth to our forward pack.
“He’s a big lad with good leg speed and at 26 arrives at a really good age with his best years in front of him.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing him grow as a player to fulfil his potential.”
As part of the of deal Warrington’s Luis Johnson moves in the opposite direction, joining Hull Kingston Rovers.
