The Coral Challenge Cup returns this weekend with a host of League 1 sides in action.
In an all-League One tie, Newcastle Thunder face West Wales Raiders in the home side’s first match since the departure of star-man Liam Finn earlier this week.
This clash on Sunday is between the biggest scorers in League 1 against the lower scorers and this fixture in September had a remarkable score line.
Thunder defeated Raiders 98-6 to record their biggest ever margin of victory and Raiders will hope victory on Saturday can start to erase memories of that game.
Another all-League One affair sees Doncaster face Coventry in what should be a very tight encounter tonight.
This game is fourth against fifth with the teams separated only by points difference in the league table.
Coventry will head to Doncaster on the back of defeat last week against Keighley whilst Doncaster defeated Workington last time out.
Doncaster boss Richard Horne has admitted that his side will see some rotation however: “It gives me an opportunity to give some lads a run out in different places, cup competitions are always exciting and we want to go as far as we can.”
The other Challenge Cup games involving League 1 sides sees table-toppers Hunslet face West Bowling whilst London Skolars face Crusaders.
Bottom side Keighley play host to Distington, Oldham are at home to Haydock and Workington entertain Siddal.
Wigan St Patricks also play a League 1 side as they face Cumbrian-side Whitehaven away from home.
On Saturday, Thatto Heath Crusaders Vs Rochdale Mayfield will be featured on the BBC Sport website as their journeys to meet a big team in the cup continues.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Wigan St Judes play Castleford Lock Lane and Featherstone Lions travel to York Acorn.
And on Sunday, West Hull host Dewsbury Moor Maroons.
