Betfred League One Preview | Round 10

Betfred League One Preview | Round 10

Four matches are taking place this weekend in Betfred League One, here is a closer look at the action set to take place this Sunday.

Cornwall will welcome North Wales to the Memorial Ground.

Cornwall got off the mark in their second game of the season with a dominant 35-10 success against London Skolars. The victory was a first home success for Cornwall.

Since then, Cornwall have not won another game, but will be hopeful for that to change this weekend.

After losing their first six matches, North Wales Crusaders got a first win of the season last weekend with a 42-14 away win at Midlands Hurricanes.

North Wales completed the double against Cornwall last season. The Welsh side defeated Cornwall 62-22 in Round Two, before a 36-12 away win in August.

Hunslet will welcome Rochdale Hornets to West Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon.

Hunslet are fourth in the table with five wins from their seven matches. The hosts have had an impressive home record against Rochdale, with the last five meetings at the South Leeds Stadium going in favour of Hunslet.

Rochdale will be looking for their first victory at the South Leeds Stadium since December 2001 and the Hornets will go there full of confidence after three consecutive wins.

The Hornets are fifth in the table with four wins and four defeats.

Dewsbury lost their 100% winning record last week, however, they remain unbeaten after the 26-26 draw with Oldham.

Liam Finn’s have won eight of their nine matches, scoring 355 points and just shipping 108 in defence.

Dale Ferguson is just one appearance away from 250 in his career. Ferguson has made 14 appearances since joining the Rams.

Dewsbury have won the last nine meetings against London Skolars.

London Skolars will be looking to become the final League One side to register a win this season.

Skolars occupy last position with eight defeats this season.

It will be a tough ask for Skolars, who have failed to beat Dewsbury in nearly 20 years.

Malikhi Lloyd-Jones could make his 100th career appearance. During three stints at the club, he has made 29 appearances.

The final game of the weekend sees Midlands Hurricanes welcome Oldham.

Midlands have won two of seven matches this season. Their victories have come against Cornwall and London Skolars.

Midlands lost the previous meeting between the two sides, however, it was a closely fought 41-36 contest.

Oldham converted a late goal from Martyn Ridyard last weekend to snatch a point from the league leaders, Dewsbury Rams.

In 2023, Oldham have won five of their seven games and occpy third spot.

The Roughyeds have won all nine previous meetings between the two sides and will be hoping to continue their record.
