Coventry Bears have bolstered their 2021 squad with the signings of Jed Charlton and Niall Sidney from fellow Betfred League 1 side Newcastle Thunder.
Both Charlton and Sidney have been called up to the Scotland International system and will be looking to feature at the upcoming 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
Bears boss, Richard Squires, said: “Jed comes from a great development system and has worked hard to get to where he is today.
“A versatile and quick back-rower with bags of experience for his age will make an impact this year in League 1 with consistent game time.
“Having been invited to train with Scotland last year, he will be wanting a big year to push toward the World Cup squad.
“Niall is another product of the Newcastle Thunder who has also spent time with the City of Hull Academy.
“Scoring 14 tries in eight games in his debut League 1 season he has the natural ability to score points. With bags of natural talent, he is very coachable and willing to learn.”
