Leigh Centurions assistant coach Paul Anderson has been fined £750 (£500 suspended until the end of the 2016 season) and handed a four-match touchline ban for verbally abusing a match commissioner following the The Qualifiers Super 8s fixture against Bradford Bulls played at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday September 19.
There was an original decision of a six-match touchline ban, but after an appeal from Mr Anderson this was reduced to four. Also, £250 which was suspended from an earlier fine in 2015 has now been activated resulting in a total of £500 to pay this time.
Mr Anderson was deemed to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.1(b) (conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game/improper conduct), C2.3 (failure to adhere to Codes of Conduct) and the RFL’s Respect Policy.
Mr Anderson has also been warned as to his future conduct.
