Alex Walmsley leaves St Helens v Wakefield early

The Saints prop left the game early on Thursday as St Helens took on Wakefield.

England International Walmsley rushed to hospital where his wife was giving birth to his child.

Alex arrived at the hospital to see his wife and take pictures with Atticus John Walmsley.

Congratulations to the couple!

 

Cameron Smith 356

Smith made history in Melbourne’s 18-16 victory over the Eels in week one of the NRL finals.

The Australia captain surpassed Queensland legend Darren Lockyer for most games played in NRL history.

It was Smith’s 356th first grade appearance in the NRL, moving him ahead of his childhood hero Lockyer on 355.

 

Keinhorst helps remote village in South Pacific

The Leeds Rhinos star has contributed to Nadromai Villiage in the Fiji Islands through the Think Pacific Foundation.

Jimmy has given away his playing jerseys and Rhinos teamwear to help the village.

Keinhorst hopes the jerseys inspire the younger generation who are interested in Rugby League.

The centre is donating more to Fiji, with the next delivery taking place in the new year.

NRL Finals start

The NRL Finals kicked-off as all eight teams faced-off in the first week.

Melbourne Storm earned a week off and a home preliminary final and Sydney Roosters booked a week off.

Cronulla Sharks’ premiership defence came to an end as they were knocked out by North Queensland Cowboys 15-14 in extra-time.

Two late tries from Penrith knocked Manly Sea Eagles out of the finals.

Week two will see Brisbane face Penrith and Parramatta take on North Queensland.

Willie Mason's time on Hell’s Kitchen comes to an end

The former Australian international has been taking part in Hell’s Kitchen on Channel 7 in Australia.

Out of 10 celebrities, Willie made it to the final three.

Mason formed a bond with Gaz from Geordie Shore whilst on the show, with the pair nicknamed ‘Batman and Robin’.

 

 

Jack & Rani become Salford mascots for the day

The stars of the TV show Educating Greater Manchester on Channel 4 were mascots at Salford’s victory over Huddersfield Giants in round five of Betfred Super League Super 8s.

The pair got to meet the players and enjoy Salford's first win of the 2017 Super 8s.
