Oxford RLFC's Iffley Road Stadium is set to host over 1,000 fans as Oxford University take on Oxford Brookes in the annual 'Derby Day' fixture.
This year will be the seventh running of the event, with Oxford winning all six previous clashes between the two sides.
They entertained a bumper crowd in 2016 as Oxford edged home 38-34 against a valiant Brookes side.
Looking ahead to the game, Oxford Brookes captain Jack Elliott said: "The event attracts over 1,000 spectators and feels like a home match for Brookes.
"It's the biggest rugby event of the year and the team is calling for this continued support at this year's fixture.
"Getting the first win over our local rivals has been the goal since the club was first founded and this year we are more determined than ever to achieve it."
The event returned to Iffley Road in 2016 after a couple of years on the road and Elliott added: "Last year was a great event and this year we're hoping to bring another great fixture to Iffley Road to really promote rugby league in Oxford."
Crowds in excess of 1,000 have attended the Derby Day games
The seventh edition of Derby Day will take place on Friday
Oxford Brookes have partnered with several companies in Oxford for the event including Deliveroo, The Cowley Retreat, The Deli, Nitron Racing Systems and Premier Lettings.
"Huge thanks go to all the companies for supporting us in the fixture this year," said Elliott.
The game will take place at 6pm on Friday (Feb 24), at Oxford RLFC's Iffley Road Stadium (Iffley Road, Oxford, OX4 1EQ).
