Leigh East hosted their first Masters mini festival last week and the very first Masters mini fest to be played exclusively on artificial pitches!
York Lokos, Leeds Masters, Wigan St Judes, Blackpool Masters, West Cumbria and Crosfields joined the host on a cold, sunny afternoon where only the Masters spirit was warm.
Despite the cold, everyone had a wonderful afternoon of Masters with players from 35 to 81 years turning out. The artificial surfaces made for some fast and open Rugby League.
The hospitality from Leigh East was excellent: Hotpot a good choice on such a cold day!
Once again the value of Masters to clubs was shown as funds were raised towards the Leigh East’s heart screening for all 14-35 year old players at the club!
Final mini fest of the year is on Sunday 4th December at Kings Norton, Birmingham: all welcome!
