The Kingstone Press Championship Shield semi-finals take place this weekend as four teams aim to take one step closer to lifting the trophy.
In the first semi-final of the weekend, Toulouse Olympique welcome Dewsbury Rams to the Stade Ernest-Argelès on Saturday (2.30pm).
Toulouse, who finished the Super 8s at the top of the table, are currently unbeaten in their last five games. Their last defeat was on August 13 against this week’s opposition Dewsbury Rams, who secured a 36-34 victory at the Tetley’s Stadium.
Toulouse’s second row Tyla Hepi is also set to make his 100th career appearance in the semi-final.
Dewsbury Rams sealed their first win in four games against Oldham last weekend and will be hoping they can secure another against Toulouse this weekend.
On Sunday, Batley Bulldogs take on Sheffield Eagles at the Foxes Biscuit Stadium (3.00pm).
The two sides came face to face in Round 7 of the Championship Shield with Batley taking the spoils with a 34-18 victory and they’ll be aiming to do the same this weekend.
Sheffield’s Duane Straugheir is also set to make his 150th appearance for Sheffield this weekend.
