Women in Rugby League
Women are central to the overall success of the sport.
Whilst the majority of those who currently play Rugby League are men, the sport is also played by girls and women at a number of levels from the Champion Schools competition, to colleges and universities and representative rugby league - and of course in local clubs and regional leagues. Play Touch Rugby League offers mixed and women-only sessions and teams.
Female fans and volunteers contribute significantly to the success of the sport. Around 40% of RL spectators are female - one of the best ratios in sport - and hugely important to clubs, partners and broadcasters.
