Stanningley and Leigh Miners Rangers will raise the curtain on Grand Final day in what looks set to be a mouthwatering Women's Championship Grand Final.
Taking centre stage at the Manchester Regional Arena on Saturday morning, Stanningley will come into the game as favourites having finished second in the league, but fourth-placed Leigh Miners Rangers won't be underestimated after beating league leaders Wakefield Trinity 8-4 in the Championship semi-final last weekend.
Stan', who scored more points than any other Championship team this year, will be hoping to end their season on a high after missing out on top spot by the tightest of deficits - Wakefield claiming first place by a two-point for and against margin.
The Leeds outfit are one of the second tier's form sides, losing just once in their last ten league games, as well as reaching the Women's Challenge Shield Final in August, where they put up a fight in losing 44-16 to reigning Super League champions Bradford Bulls in Warrington.
But Miners have their own knockout pedigree having reached the Women's Challenge Cup final in 2016, though they came up short against Thatto Heath Crusaders at Odsal Stadium.
The pair have faced off twice in the league this year, with Stanningley taking the spoils on each occasion; 24-0 on home turf, and a hard-fought 36-24 triumph on the road.
