Hull KR season preview

Hull KR season preview

It was only a brief Super League absence for Hull KR, as the Robins bounced back to the top division at the first time of asking.

After dominating the 2017 Championship season, Rovers sealed their return after a strong Super 8s campaign.

Under the guidance of the hugely experienced and respected Tim Sheens, KR are well positioned to attempt to retain their spot at the top table.

The recruitment of former Leeds Rhinos captain Danny McGuire could prove to be a key acquisition, adding an experienced head into a largely youthful crop of players at KCOM Craven Park.

One to watch: Ryan Shaw

The lively winger played a huge part in Hull KR’s superb Super8s Qualifiers campaign which saw them return to the promised land.

With a deadly turn of pace enough to cause plenty of trouble for Super League defences, the Eagle scored seven tries in seven Qualifiers games.
