Newcastle Thunder cemented their place at the top of the Kingstone Press League 1 Shield table with a comprehensive 62-18 win over Oxford.
The away side romped seven points clear of their nearest rivals at the summit and boosted their points difference with a dominant display.
Josh Nathaniel scored twice and Harry Griffith and Aaron Nicholson also went over for the hosts, but they were rarely in contention.
Brendon Newton touched down four times as Gloucestershire All Golds claimed a club-record score in thrashing Hemel Stags 74-18 in the Kingstone Press League 1 Shield.
James Rowland and Phil Cowburn both crossed twice for the All Golds, while there were further tries from Jack Uren, Joe McClean, Kadeem Williams, Josh Allison and Emmerson Whittel, in addition to 22 points from the boot of Kieran Hyde.
Ben Stead converted his own try to put Hemel on the scoresheet before adding a further four points following scores from Reece Williams and Mitch Vincent.
Joel James' last-gasp penalty snatched Coventry Bears a 30-28 victory over North Wales Crusaders in the Kingstone Press League 1 Shield.
The home side were leading 18-12 at half-time but the Bears pulled level shortly after the restart.
They then took the lead as Jamahl Hunte ran the length of the field to score but a missed conversion allowed Crusaders to regain the advantage at 24-22 before another try stretched their lead to six points.
However, Richie Hughes\' try and a successful conversion tied the game before James' 35-yard penalty stole the win for the Bears.
